Configure Statistics

The Configure statistics dialog box allows you to specify the statistics to be collected during the Simulation experiment.

The statistics selected in this dialog box can be visualized in the Statistics Dashboard by means of tables and charts (by default all statistics are checked). The unselected statistics cannot be added to the dashboard and will not be collected during the Simulation experiment.

The Configure statistics dialog box contains statistics table:

  • # - shows the ordinal numbers, denoting the order of the table records.
  • Enabled - shows the current status of the statistics, i.e., whether it will be available or not during the Simulation experiment.
  • Name - contains all the currently offered by anyLogistix statistics.
  • Value Type - specifies the type of data statistics will collect.
    • Finances - detailed information on generated revenue and incurred expenses.
    • Distance - detailed information on the distance covered by the vehicles.
    • Products - detailed information on products within the supply chain.
    • Ratio - detailed information on the quality of provided delivery services basing on the analysis of the received or initially dropped orders/ordered products.
    • Time - detailed information on time spent processing tasks or being idle.
    • Vehicles - detailed information on vehicles used within the supply chain.
    • Orders - detailed information on all orders within the supply chain.
    • Cash to Serve - detailed information on cash flows within the supply chain.
    • CO2 Emissions - detailed information on CO2 emissions within the supply chain
    • Other - Various statistics, providing detailed information on supply chain elements.
    • Custom table - tables created by the user within the Anylogic environment.
    • Preset - grouped sets of regular statistics, which allow to view and analyze data in a more convenient way.
  • Filters - allows you to specify the data to collect within the current statistics. Collects data per specified entity if the Type, Object and Product columns are checked, otherwise collects sum for the specified entities.

On modifying the Filters column you specify that it is this data type must be collected only. The rest of the unspecified data will not be collected and as a result it will not be available.

By default all statistics data is collected for every supply chain element, i.e., you gather a very detailed statistics on everything and by modifying value of the Filters column you reduce the amount of data to be collected. As a result you will not be storing redundant unwanted data in your database, thus keeping the size of your database within the reasonable limits. The less the database size is, the less RAM is utilized on launching anyLogistix. You can set a filter to collect data per specific:

    • Type - check object types to collect statistics for (Customer, DC, Factory, Supplier).
    • Object - check your supply chain objects to collect statistics for.
    • Product - check products to collect statistics for.
    • Vehicle type - check vehicle types to collect statistics for.
    • Source - check source to collect statistics for.
    • Period - check periods to collect statistics for.
    • Account - check accounts to collect statistics for.
    • Destination - check destinations to collect statistics for.
    • Zone - [available for extended type of objects only] check zones to collect statistics for.
    • Staff type - [available for extended type of objects only] check staff types to collect statistics for.
  • Type - if checked, data per each object type will be collected (Customer, DC, Factory, Supplier). If disabled, this data will not be available in the statistics.
  • Object - if checked, data per each supply chain object will be collected. If disabled, this data will not be available in the statistics.
  • Product - if checked, data per each offered product will be collected. If disabled, this data will not be available in the statistics.
  • Vehicle type - if checked, data on each vehicle type will be collected. If disabled, this data will not be available in the statistics.
  • Source - if checked, data on each source will be collected. If disabled, this data will not be available in the statistics.
  • Period - if checked, data on each period will be collected. If disabled, this data will not be available in the statistics.
  • Account - if checked, data on each cash account will be collected. If disabled, this data will not be available in the statistics.
  • Destination - if checked, data on each destination will be collected. If disabled, this data will not be available in the statistics.
  • Zone - [available for extended type of objects only] if checked, data on each zone utilization will be collected. If disabled, this data will not be available in the statistics.
  • Staff type - [available for extended type of objects only] if checked, data on each staff type will be collected. If disabled, this data will not be available in the statistics.

To enable/disable the required statistics

  1. Click the toggle button in the corresponding row.

To enable/disable all the statistics

  1. Press Ctrl and click the Enabled column title. Toggle buttons referring to all the currently available statistics will be selected.
  2. Press Spacebar to instantly change the state of all toggle buttons and as a result activate/deactivate all the statistics.

If required, the data of each column can be sorted or filtered just like in any other anyLogistix table.

Once you have configured the statistics for the experiment click OK to close the dialog box.

Now you can move on to configure the Statistics Dashboard and running the required simulation based experiment afterwards.
