To use the received result of the Safety Stock Estimation experiment you can do either of the following:

• Update current scenario's inventory data
• Convert to new SIM scenario

To update current scenario's inventory data

1. Right-click the required result item to open a pop-up menu.

   

2. Click Update current scenario's inventory data. The inventory policy of the current scenario will be updated with new records.

   The new policy records will be used by default, while the previously defined policy records will be marked as Excluded in the Inclusion type column.

To convert Safety Stock Estimation experiment results to a scenario

1. Right-click the required result item to open a pop-up menu.

   

2. Click Convert to a new scenario. The new scenario will be created in the Simulation type tab. You will be instantly taken to it.
   Note the following:

   • The defined safety stock value will be added to the inventory policy parameters of the scenario. The new policy records will be used by default, while the previously defined policy records will be marked as Excluded in the Inclusion type column.
   • If the inventory's Initial Stock is insufficient to meet the service level requirements, a dialog box will pop up prompting you to increase the Initial stock level up to the safety stock level.
