By removing a KPI metric tile from the ribbon you remove the visual representation of the collected data. The data itself is not removed.
To remove a KPI metric tile

Hover your mouse over the required KPI metric tile, then right-click it.

Click
Remove to remove the tile from the KPI ribbon.
